Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted descriptively to evaluate the relationship between physical activity levels and bone mineral density in menopausal women. In the study, the mean of the international physical activity scale of the participants was determined as 1923.46 ± 1578.13MET-min / week. According to the DEXA results of the women, the mean of T L1-L4 was -2.99 ±-0.44, the mean of L L1-L4 was -2.75±-0.38, the mean of femur total T score was -3.24±-0.45, and the mean of femur total Z score was -3.01±-0.44. It was determined that the T L1-L4 and femur total T scores of the women in the 46-55 age group were higher than the women between the ages 56-65, and this difference was statistically significant (p <0.05). It was determined that women's marital, economic and employment status did not affect DEXA scores (p> 0.05). It was found that the T L1-L4, L L1-L4 and femur total Z scores of women with high school and above education level were higher than the femur total Z scores (p <0.05), while femur total T scores were similar in all groups (p> 0.05). As a result; It was determined that the mean UFAA scores of women with postmenopausal osteoporosis included in the study were moderate, age group, education, clothing style and general physical activity status significantly affected bone mineral density.
