Abstract (EN)
The increasing energy demand with the Industrial Revolution has led to the rapid depletion of the world's fossil resources, and this has forced people to use inexhaustible and renewable energy resources. In this thesis study, thermodynamics I. and II. of a Rankine cycle of the power plant of the Solar II solar-steam plant. law analysis was carried out. The effects of each parameter (pressure, temperature, etc.) acting in the cycle on the system and power cycle were analyzed systematically. For this purpose, the system equations were defined to the EES program based on the characteristics of the existing Solar II system. The properties of the heat transfer fluid (HTF) in the existing receiver, the properties of the steam, which is the working fluid used in the Rankine steam-power cycle, are given as input to the system and the current system outputs in different configurations are obtained by using the program. The design cycle was set up to define the sizing parameters of the cycle to fit a desired electrical power value (10 MW) with an efficiency equal to 0.33. Then, the system features obtained in the EES program and the actual data of the Solar II system were compared and the written program was verified. In order to increase the performance and power of the plant, different parameters were examined and their effects on productivity increase were investigated.
