Abstract (EN)
Marble powder has a significant impact on the quantity and quality of construction technology. The use of different industrial wastes in combination with marble dust results in the production of mortars serving different purposes. In this study, the use of marble powder in mortar with fly ash was investigated and the results of an experimental study to determine the effect of these materials on the mortar mechanical properties are presented. A total of 27 mortar mixtures were prepared with CEM I 42.5 R type cement, in which the fine aggregate was replaced with marble dust, fly ash, both marble dust and fly ash. 7 and 28 days of bending and compression tests were applied to the samples prepared with constant 0,58 water/cement. It was found that 5% marble powder substitution provides optimum bending and compression strength in the substitution of the standard sand with marble powder. Similarly, 20% fly ash substitution achieved an optimum mechanical properties in mortars by achieving a compressive strength of 49,55 MPa. 15% marble powder and 15% fly ash use have improved the mechanical properties of mortars. Due to the pozzolanic properties of fly ash is a more advantageous material for using in mortars. Keywords: Marble Powder, fly ash, industrial waste, pozzolan
