According to the documents of the Meşihat Archive, the ulema of the Trabzon

In this study, the central sancak ulama of Trabzon in the last period of the Ottoman Empire was examined. In this context, the study is divided into three parts. In the first part, the Mashihat Archive and 19. the basic educational institutions in the Ottoman Empire in the century, the madrasas and other schools established in the new style in Trabzon in the second part, the ulema born in Trabzon in the third part were examined. In the first part of the study, the Mashihat Archive was introduced in general terms and the historical sources found in this archive were focused on. After that, madrasas and other basic educational institutions, which have been important institutions in the field of education since the establishment of the Ottoman Empire, were discussed. In addition, 19. as a result of the reform and innovation studies carried out in civil education in the century, the basic educational institutions established by the new method were examined. In the second part of the study, madrasas and primary schools in Trabzon and other educational institutions established with the new method were discussed. In this context, madrasas and primary schools in Trabzon province were evaluated together with their historical processes. In the third part of the study, the biographies of the Trabzon ulemas are included. In the third chapter, a general evaluation of the information belonging to the ulema was made under a separate heading. In this study, mainly Meşihat Archive documents, files and notebooks; Trabzon Province Yearbooks and other literature sources were used.
