Explanations of the First Turkish Fifty Ghazals in the Mesihi's Divan

The study, we have made consists of the explanation of the first fifty Turkish ghazals in the Divan of Mesihi who lived in the late 15th century and early 16th century. In our study the understanding of Mesihi's ghazals and by the aspect of its merits being understood has taken an important place. In the first part of our study, enlightened about Mesihi's life and personal literary; his work was introduced. The second part includes the explanations of the fifty Turkish ghazals of Mesihi. While ghazals had been explaining to the modern people, we aimed to explain classical Turkish literature Therefore we have based analyzing couplet by couplet in the explanation of the ghazals in the Divan. Based on the meaning of the words, we translated couplets into prose in today's Turkish. Then we explained. We explained the usage areas of words in classical Turkish poetry, their metaphorical mystical meanings and general mazmuns of classical literature. According to these meanings Mesihi's ghazals were tried to be explained. Furthermore, at the end of each couplet, literary arts were explained as much as possible. The thesis is ended by stating the works used in our study in the Bibliograpy part.
