Abstract (EN)
This reseach aims to scrutinize contents and methods of kanun education in state conservatories which gives professional music education to state the problems about it, to determine resolution advisory on substantial problems, and by this means to contribute on progression of kanun education. It is a descriptive study based on screening model in terms of its purpose and methods. First of all the preliminary information of this study is acquired by searching various related sources. A structured query was applied as data collection device to kanun instructors who give lessons in state conservatories of Gazi University, Ege University, Selçuk University, and Afyon Kocatepe University. In addition to this it aims to state beginner curriculum and methods of kanun education in state conservatories which gives professional music education. And also based on these data, some suggestions which were supposed to make contribution to kanun education were proposed. Keywords: Kanun, Training, Methods, Content
