Examining the classical Turkish music style and repertoire education's content and method in conservatories which gives professional music training

In this study, it is aimed to examine the content and methods and to determine the problems of Classical Turkish Music style and repertoire courses in professional music training conservatories. In regard of outlines, objectives and method, this research is a descriptive study based on review model. Preliminary findings were gathered by literature review, and surveys were conducted with instructors which give Classic Turkish Music Style and Repertoire Education courses in İTU, EU, SU and AKU State Concervatory. Data were gathered on the current situation and suggestions are made which is believed will contribute to development of Classic Turkish Music Style And Repertoire training.
