In this research, within the framework of career planning, vocational secondary education students affiliated to the Ministry of National Education have chosen and studied their own career, whether they know the profession they are a candidate for, the awareness of a relationship between the profession they plan to do in the future and the department they are studying, and how the department is effective in choosing a profession. It is aimed to investigate the necessity of career planning in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools. The universe and sample of the research consists of 9th and 12th grade students of vocational high schools in Suluova District of Amasya province in the 2021-2022 academic year. 240 students are educated in 11 different professions in 5 different vocational schools. Since the whole universe can be reached, no participant determination was made. In the data collection method in the research, there are personal inventory scale, decision strategies scale and professional maturity scale tools. SPSS 22.0 program was used to analyze the data in the research. Calculations such as mean, median and standard deviation were used in the study. The compatibility of the sample with the normal distribution was tested with Kolmogorov-Smirnov. As a result of the statistical tests, it was seen that the scales showed significance and normal distribution at the p>0.05 significance level, and parametric tests were applied to the scales. Anova analysis and t test were used to test the differences of the variables according to the scale scores. Pearson test was applied for correlation analysis. As a result of the research, it was seen that personality inventory, decision strategies and professional maturity differ according to occupational fields. It was concluded that decision making strategies have an effect on professional maturity (p=0.039<0.05).
