Abstract (EN)

Dental porcelains are divided into two systems: metal-ceramic and all-ceramic. As it implies, metal-ceramic porcelain is a type of prosthesis obtained by applying porcelain onto a metal substrate. Because of metal?s grey colour and its reflection from the porcelain, colour problem of the teeth appears and aesthetically desired results can not be achieved especially for the front teeth. Dentists tend to useall-ceramic porcelain technique due to such a disadvantage of the metal-ceramic porcelain prosthesis. All-ceramic crowns or bridges consist of four different layers; core, opaque, dentine and insical. Moreover, the insical surface is veneered with a glaze coating in most applications to end up with a final product shinier and more attractive. Using ytria-partially stabilized tetragonal zirconia (Y-TZP) as ceramic core material in crowns and bridges applications has become so popular in recent years thanks to its biocompatibility, high mechanical properties and colour.In this study, it was worked on the production and characterization of zirconia framework, opaque, dentine, insical and glaze layers. All samples were prepared and the tests were performed according to ?ISO 6872 Dental Ceramics Standard?.
