Abstract (EN)

From the beginning of the existence of mankind has been in constant struggle to survive. They make an effort for supply its requirements as possible as easier and less dangerous way. Because of this humanity have been trying to keep their lives away from danger since the past. With the industrial revolution, increasing mechanization has begun to affect the health and safety of the people working in the production sector. Heavy working conditions and insufficient measures have resulted in serious work accidents and deaths. Workers' loss of health and decrease of the production because of workers's loss of health, revealed that more serious measures should be taken idea. From past the present solution of situations that threaten the health and safety of employees has been analyzed with various scientific methods. It has been followed and developed to the present and presented to the service of humanity. In this thesis, the risk factors affecting the health and safety of employees in the metal sector were examined and the employees' awareness of these negative factors was evaluated. As a result of the survey, it has been concluded that the workers in the metal sector are aware of the situations that threaten themselves in their working environment. In addition result of the surveys also shown that employes in metal sector has been thinking their job is generally dangerous but they think that accidents can be prevented by working carefully.
