Abstract (EN)
In Turkey, the production of metal powder has been rapidly growing. The products produced by metal powder are mainly used in automotive industry. In this study, a new metal powder production method, based on atomisation technique, has been developed. In order to study the effecting parameters such as; wire electrode, pressurised air and rotating disk, an experimental test facility has been constructed. In the experiments, steel wires with various diameters were melted by means of electric arc developed between the tip of wire and the rotating disk. Sieving analysis of metal powder is carried out and the results are discussed. The effect of parameters on metal powder size in investigated.
