Özet (EN)

Based on the building damage caused by meteorological events occurring every year in our country, it is understood that the existing regulations are not sufficient. The objective of this study is to determine the map and account values given in the current regulations for the preparation of safer and more economical designs by creating the current update of meteorological features. During the study, meteorological data were obtained from the General Directorate of Meteorological Affairs since 1975. Current values were determined by editing the data and using the appropriate probability distribution functions in Easyfit program. With the help of the Geographical Information System (GIS), these maps were generated with 50-year return intervals for snow, wind, temperature and precipitation. Six different steel truss were analyzed by using SAP2000 according to TS498. The snow loads were taken from the meteorological maps. From the analysis, the elements of steel trusses were all in collapse mechanism As a result, the calculation values and maps given in TS 498 and TS EN 1991 regulations were compared with the maps created in this study and the difference map was created. The difference map revealed that the values given in the maps used today are insecure for some regions and non-economic values for some regions
