Abstract (EN)

Last eartquakes indicate that, many existing structures in Turkey do not havesufficent seismic safety. Workings began to determine the building? seismic safety.It?s practically impossible to examine all buildings by detailed structural analysis.So, it?s necessary to determine the seismic safety of buildings with a quickevaluation method. It?s inevitable to utilize a quick evaluation method for decidingwhich buildings need further detailed structural analysis, and which buildings canbe used with their existing seismic safety levels.In this study, three reinforced concrete buildings are examined with PushoverAnalysis, considering the seismic desing loads by the Turkish Eartquake ResistantDesign Code and to compare Japanese Seismic Index Method, which is betweenthe most accepted quick seismic safety evaluation.2006, 132 pagesKey Words: Reinforced Concrete Buildings, Pushover Analysis, Japanese SeismicIndex Method, SAP2000.
