Özet (EN)

ACCORDING TO TERDC 2007 PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF EXISTING STRUCTURESSUMMARYKey Words: Pushover Analysis, Nonlinear Static Analysis, Performans Evaluation, Capacity Spectrum Methods, TERDC 2007In recent years, for the assessment or evaluation of the existing buildings under the seismic loads, the Nonlinear Static Procedure (NSP) based on pushover analysis has become extremely popular in structural earthquake engineering community. This study focuses on the seismic performance evaluation of the structures. This aim can be achieved by introducing nonlinear methods for designing, analyzing and checking the design of structures so that they meet the selected performance objectives. Analysis procedures are capable of predicting the demands-forces and deformations. This research is represented in six chapters, the first chapter includes the aim of this research, introduction the issue and it?s emphasize. The behavior of elastic structures in the second part, the only free-border and multi-grade systems are detailed in serberst-grade systems. The third section describes the concept of performance. Then, taking into account Turkish Earthquake Resistant Design Code ( TERDC 2007) for the construction, performance levels which are effective to determine the levels of performance criteria descriptions has been described. In the chapter 4, analysis by using pushover method, obtain of the capacity curve of the building, capacity spectrum method and how the performance can be achieved are presented. In chapter 5, four storied exiting school building is analysed by using SAP 2000 analysis program according to the TERDC 2007. In the last chapter analysis outcomes are compared and general lookover has been done.
