The case of women in Mawdudi's Tef'himul'-Qur'an

The God gives importance to women and make them exalted. So that their names are given to suras. Prophet Mohammed emphasized that many times women are worthful beings in his hadiths and traditions. Islam relief entitles many rights and fredooms which are not being in any society to women. In nowadays almost many rights of women are demolished because of traditions cliches and customs of societies. It is extremely wrong that attributing these cliches to Islam. Women rights and freedosms in social and legal life are discussed in a traditional way, in this paper. Mevdudi supports women rights and freedooms but also he indicates that their actions in social life should be limited. He backs up his idea with hadiths, traditions and some scholar opinions. The limitations of women in social life draw our attention in this paper. Mevdudi thinks that if there is no limitation the structure of family and society will be damaged.
