Abstract (EN)
Al-Jawzaqani, who compiled one of the first works of the mawduat literature, started his studies in his hometown Hamadan, then he continued to do his studies in Baghadad, as it is a scholary tradition of the era. There are several fields in which al-Jawzaqani has some works, but the most important work of al-Jawzaqani is al-Abâtîl wa'l-manâkîr wa'l-sihâh wa'l-mashâhîr, which he wrote upon a request. There are several factors that make this work important and unique. One of the main ones is his method of compilation. When the author decides on the invalidity of the reports that he considers problematic, his judgement is based upon whether these reports conflict with the credited reports that mostly take place in Sahihain. Albeit it is known that the invalidation due to the conflict with the authentic reports exists before the author, al-Jawzaqani is the first person that the basis of his work depends on this method. He often resorts to criticism of sanad to strengthen his view of that the reports invalidated by himself is unreliable. Tough the criticisms of al-Jawzaqani about the reports he invalidated by using this method are censured, it is also known that some of the reports he validated under the title of "fî hilâfi zâlik" are criticized for not being reliable. It is clear that the method of al-Jawzaqani followed in this work, and the content of criticisms levelled at it, contributes to the issue of the comparison of problematic and the authentic reports. In spite of the criticisims, the fact that this work of him influenced the future authors who have books in the mawduat literature, makes it more appealing.
