Abstract (EN)

The first and second centuries of hijri were a period in which many scientific and political movements emerged. As a result of the scientific and political movements experienced, sects such as Mu'tazila, Haricilik Murjie, Shia emerged. Among these sects, the Shia sect has an important place and Muhammad Bâkır, a figure that this sect also considers important, is the subject of our research. Our thesis consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction, the method followed, the sources used and the period in which Muhammed Bâkır lived are briefly mentioned. In the first part, his scientific, social and political life is included. He has come to the fore in the scientific aspect rather than the political aspect. He did not take any part in the confusions that occurred in his period and gave himself to science. His relationship with Abu Hanifa was tried to be evaluated. Again, scholars have evaluated him as a strict narrator and his place in the science of hadith, tafsir and fiqh has been tried to be revealed. Again, it was tried to focus on his teachers, which we can call his sources of knowledge, and the line of students who transfer this knowledge to the next generation. In the second part, his views on subjects such as beda, taqiyya, imamet, rec'at companion, and the Mahdi were evaluated. He stayed away from the extreme ideas of the gulat sects on such matters attributed to him, and even cursed those who attributed special meanings to him in matters such as being the Mahdi and rec'at. Again, his narrations about tawhid, prophecy, the Qur'an, destiny and faith were evaluated and it was tried to reveal his ideas that were close to the people of Madina, who were far from Shiism.
