Examination of the relationship between childhood traumas and anxiety and depression levels of patients with migraine type headache

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between childhood traumas and anxiety and depression levels in patients with migraine-type headache. The sample of the study consisted of individuals who were selected by the purposive sampling method among the patients who were treated for migraine-type headache in the Neurology Outpatient Clinic of Hatay Training and Research Hospital and who voluntarily participated in the study. Data; The Information Form was obtained using the Childhood Trauma Scale, Beck Anxiety Inventory, and Beck Depression Inventory. In the results of working; It was revealed that the Beck Anxiety Scale scores of migraine patients differed statistically significantly according to the status of having childhood trauma. It was observed that the Beck Depression Scale scores of migraine patients did not differ statistically significantly according to the status of having childhood trauma. A positive and moderately statistically significant correlation was found between the Childhood Trauma Scale scores of migraine patients and Beck Anxiety Scale scores. No statistically significant correlation was found between the Childhood Trauma Scale scores of migraine patients and the Beck Depression Scale scores.
