Abstract (EN)
The equivalent of the principle of party autonomy in the private international law is choice of law. This generally accepted principle in private international law serves uniforming the law rules and opportunities for choice of law have been extending day by day. In this context, recent developments under Turkish Law and European Union Law ascertain the need of a separate study. Fundamental changes have been occurred particularly in non-contractual obligations and special types of contracts. Aforementioned developments and new approaches have been discussed in line with comparative law and precedents. The regulations which are considered not to have the application ability are discussed further.
