Formation of Milli Görüş (national vision) movement and thought system

When its thought scheme, the starting point is Turkey, examined; the National Vision Movement which has an intellectual and political side, it can be seen it carries a claim intended for all of the Islamic World and even for the order of the World with a Turkey centered perspective. The conditions revealing the National Vision Movement are in general the crisis situation the Islamic World is in and in special the modernization progress that reached to peak with Republic period in our country. Necmettin Erbakan is the founder and leader of the National Vision Movement and also the builder of its intellectual structure. The National Vision Movement is a field in wich thoughst, targets and struggles of Erbakan come to life in a way. Necmettin Erbakan, who has been in the center of the movement, from the formation process to his living time, is the natural leader. In this sense, the fate of the National Vision Movement intertwines with Erbakan's life story and struggle until his death. National Vision Movement is a movement which includes being religious, political, social and economic features. The main feature that differentiates the National Vision Movement from other Islamic movements in our country is that it internalizes the method of a political-party method as a method in Islamic struggle. National Vision Movement, has been stayed in a democratid system since its formation, is based on a struggle around a legal political party keeping its position despite all the inhibitions. In the understanding of the National Vision Movement the developments that during formation process have critical importance. It's commentated that in the formation process Erbakan implemented a consensus-building strategy on the Islamic section in the National Vision Movement and its name; and achieved this in a certain rate. While the ideas of Islamic intellectual discourse and mystic discourse are observed in the idea of National Vision, the concepts of Nationality and Fair Order have an important place in both the naming and the intellectual structure.
