The Holy Qur'an is among the fundamental sources of our literature. Poets have frequently resorted to the art of quotation (iktibas) from the Holy Qur'an, either in whole or in part, to embellish and substantiate their words in their verses. Besides direct word-for-word quotations from the original text of the Holy Qur'an, the translations of the Holy Qur'an serve as sources for meanings extracted from it. We believe that this study will be a valuable resource for textual analyses in the field of Old Turkish Literature, especially in identifying instances of the art of quotation. Additionally, this study aims to shed light on the ability or lack thereof of the Turkish language to create its own religious terminology in interlinear translations of the Qur'an. Numerous studies transcribed from handwritten copies of Qur'an translations from the period of Old Anatolian Turkish are available to researchers. With our thesis, we have determined the place of the work, translated into Western Turkish, among the translations of the Holy Qur'an, thus demonstrating the vocabulary and expressive power of Turkish through this study. One of the significant aspects of the thesis in the context of Turkish Language and Literature is its indication and explanation of religious terms in interlinear Qur'an translations and its contribution to dictionary studies in this field, as well as studies on religious terms in literary texts. The text that our study is based on is an important source containing rich examples for researchers who will examine the topics we have touched upon. The study, consisting of 4 sections: "Introduction," "Language Analysis," "Text," and "Dictionary," provides information on the history of translations of the Holy Qur'an and explains translation methods in the "Introduction" section. Under the title "Characteristics of the Primary Manuscript for the Study," the description of the volumes of the work registered with the numbers 06 Mil Yz B 50/1 and 06 Mil Yz B 50/2 at the National Library, which are the sources for the thesis, is provided. In this section, the scope and method of the research are discussed, along with a detailed explanation of the study's objectives, significance, and widespread impact. Finally, previous studies on translations of the Holy Qur'an are presented with brief summaries under the heading "Source Summaries (Theoretical Foundations). In the "Language Analysis" section examines the text in terms of sound and form. Examples provided in the sound analysis are occasionally compared with the early period of Middle Turkic to evaluate the historical development of the Turkish language. Each heading includes at least one example, and sound and form information not found in the text are also indicated separately. In the "Text" section, the pages 1b-580b of the two-volume work, consisting of a total of 579 pages, have been transcribed into the Latin alphabet. Errors were detected in the numbering of the verses. The numbering of the verses in our study is based on the Holy Qur'an. In the "Dictionary" section, words found in the text are listed in alphabetical order, along with the page and verse numbers where the words appear. The dictionary includes both foreign-origin and Turkish-origin words, with examples provided for each word entry, along with the page and verse numbers where the word appears.
