The term mecmua(anthology), derived from the Arabic root cem ͑, denotes "a collection or compilation of items brought together in an orderly manner". As a literary concept, it refers to "a whole composed of texts belonging to different authors". In Turkish folk culture, those arranged vertically were called cönk. Thousands of mecmua classified in Turkish libraries bear witness to this tradition. This study focuses on the Poetry Mecmua, registered under number AEMnz773 in the Manuscripts Collection of the National Library. The work, consisting of 135 folios, has been fully transcribed. The couplets contained in the mecmua have been rendered in verse from, and the transcribed texts were compared with other printed sources. Variations at the world level were identified and noted in the footnotes. The mecmua includes poems by poets who lived during the 16th,17th, and 18th centuries.
