Abstract (EN)

İnegöl became one of the places where Greek occupation was exposed due to the proximity of Bursa and İstanbul during the National Struggle period. Especially after the movement of Greek army from Aegean coast on 22 June 1920 İnegöl was occupied. Turkish troops in and around Bursa and had to withdraw to the more secure Bozüyük-İnönü emplacement. Following that date Greek troops occupied İnönü during Battles of İnönü and Battle of Kütahya-Eskişehir and faced the Turkish troops in İnönü. Besides, Greek army utilized İnegöl in every attack and withdraw. Because of its geographical location İnegöl was among the most destroyed places by Greek and it has been occupied many times in National Struggle. With this, the native Greek and Armenian gangs that emerged during the National Struggle caused material and moral damage to the region. For this reason many people from İnegöl had to leave their house and migrate to inside Anatolia. In this study the events having occurred in İnegöl and its vicinity during National Struggle, period between 1918-1923 will be handled.
