Abstract (EN)

There has been very important influences of the Turkish National Struggle Movement for the founding of the new Turkish Government and for the World history. The aim of this study was to search the reflections of the Turkish National Struggle in the English Press which consists of newspapers with different tendencies between the period of 19th May,1919 when Mustafa Kemal Pasha landed Samsun and 11th October,1922 when the Armistice of Mudania signed. We have searched a period which consists of three sections in which the Turkish National Struggle Movement followed by English press closely and carefully. The interest of the English press which concentrated on the partition of the Ottoman Empire after the First World War changed with the Turkish National Struggle Movement in Anatolia, particularly the news and comments were within the English national interests. In our study, the newspapers were browsed from their internet archives and investigated news, articles, comments analysed. In the light of these information, the obtained data related to the National Struggle Movement has been translated objectively and chronologically.The articles and news were translated either directly or indirectly.
