Abstract (EN)

Video games are shaped by space, which plays a critical role in interaction between players and virtual worlds. Space functions as a medium through which players understand the narrative, feel desired emotions, and experiences. As games seek realism, the need to apply architectural design principles within the gamespace increases. The illusion of reality weakens in the absence of these principles, leading to a loss of credibility. In immersive experiences, players may notice the absence of architectural principles, heightening their awareness of the game's virtual nature. This realization may affect their connection to the game and the depth of their experience. When effectively integrated into, architectural design elements can enhance both realism and the overall experience. This study examines how architectural design principles can be deliberately applied within video game settings. In this context, the originality of spaces, their navigational aspects, and their impact on player experience will be comprehensively evaluated. The application of architectural space principles within video games is crucial for shaping player experiences. Decisions regarding the design of pathways, the arrangement of areas, the establishment of boundaries, concept of the game and the integrity of the gamespace are fundamental choices that influence overall experience of the game. The significance of architectural space principles in video game design plays a critical role in deepening game worlds and enriching player experiences. Consequently, this study thoroughly investigates the role of architectural space design in enhancing gameplay.
