Abstract (EN)

Universality and permanecy, which are considered two general concepts in modern architecture, express what is wanted to achived in each period. In this context, these concepts are interpreted differently. This study evaluates the architectural equivalents of universality and permanency. Primarily, the relationship between art and architecture is discussed to enable the intelligibility of universality and permanency, which are a discourse of art. All in all, the study also describes the evolution as the result of the thought conditions, in which those concepts exist. The study examined whether the architecture acts reflect these resulting concepts. This study also observed the emerging conditions resulting from formal properties of architectural products. The new meanings, which universality and permanency concepts were shaped with the changes in the worldview system, gained over architectural design acts were explained, as well. Keywords: Architectural Design, Universality in Architecture, Permanency in Architecture
