Distance education method in architecture education programme

Education has been used for centuries as a method of increasing the effectiveness of distance education in developing technology, using similar technology applicability of the education content and the integration of architectural educatin programme. In this context, the characteristics of distance education method, architectural programme and the effects of architectural education as software and hardware developing technologies, samples of some applied virtual design studios, and 'Anadolu University Virtual Design Studio' will be the main topics to be discussed. In order to question the applicability of distance architectural education in a virtual world as in this study; the current state of technology or the facilities in the near future; evaluated with published books, articles, supported by scientific publications such as theses and giving the architectural education program through distance learning method has been found to be more applicable effectively each passing year, however; especially in distance or virtual full theoratical courses that can be administered effectively need more technical support to transfer, and therefore, require more time, respectively.Finally, taking into consideration the applied samples, the analyzed data and infrastructure facilities that we own; an initial model proposal is presented for distance education in architecture.Keywords: Distance Architectural Education Model, Distance Architectural Education , Virtual Architectural Education, Virtual Design Studio
