Abstract (EN)

The expansions of the interaction between architecture and cinema and it?s effect on cinematic scenes are discussed in this thesis. The historical progress of cinema and architecture and their interaction during this process, the extraction of architectural scenes, the foundations of the cinematic scenes concept and the perception of the scenes in Turkish Cinema have been explicated all together. The film ?Uzak? which has been directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan who is one of the most succesfull directors of Turkish Cinema been selected for this work. This film is explicated considering the scenes in spaces affect human emotions, thoughts and their interaction with their surroundings both in a positive and negative manner. The empovering and enriching effect architectural scenes on the expressions in cinema has been significant. The work was a result of the literature survey on the area of interest and the data derived from the analysis of real scenes-cinematic expression- cinematic scenes in the selected case study.
