Abstract (EN)

In this study; The aim of this study was to determine the effect of student teachers' learning on the subject of mitosis by station technique on student achievement and retention. Current scientific and technological developments; the needs of the individual and society, changes and innovations in teaching and learning approaches affect the roles expected from the individual. As a result of these changes, individuals are expected to have the skills of producing information, problem solving, critical thinking, determined, entrepreneurial and communication skills. In this study, the effect of learning with station technique on student achievement was investigated. The sample of this study consists of 40 students from the second grade students of the Science Teaching Department of Aksaray University Faculty of Education. In this research, pre-test and post-test design with control group, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used as quasi-experimental research model. The study is a quantitative study supported by qualitative data. Attitude scale towards science and technology, self-efficacy belief scale against biology teaching and biology achievement test were applied as a quantitative data collection tool. In addition, qualitative data were obtained by using a structured interview form devel oped by there searcher.First of all, in order to determine students' attitudes towards science and biology, the attitude and science and technology attitude scale and the self-efficacy belief scale against biology teaching were applied to the students in the experimental and control groups and the results of both groups were high. Mit Mitosis division in onion stem cells gözlen experiment was conducted and "mitosis division" was studied. After processing of the subject station technique was applied to the experimental group. As a result of the analyzes, a statistically significant difference was found between the pretest and posttest success scores of the experimental and control groups. As a result of the interview with the students, learning with station technique is based on mind-keeping, learning by doing and so on. It has been expressed by the students contributed to situations. As a result; The use ofstation method in addition to learningby experiment has been effectivein preserviceteachers' learningwith pleasure andincreasing their success.
