Özet (EN)

Psychological violence, psychological terror, harassment, intimidation, suppression are all terms used to describe ''Mobbing'', which means hostile or harassment at workplace, conducted by one or more than one person, targeted at one individual. Despite of being a very old concept, it has only begun to be defined recently, mobbing is a contagious illness which brings many negative consequences to the organization, and one of these consequences is undoubtedly related to the employee's attachment. Affective commitment refers to employee's emotional attachment to, identification with, and involvement in the organization. In this research, the relationship between workplace mobbing and affective commitment to the organization is performed to querying entity, Leymann's Mobbing Typology, Allen and Meyer's Affective Commitment Measure have been used. The study was made in Turkey, via surveys implemented over employees working in the municipality of ''Yeşilyurt'' in the city of Malatya, The population of the investigation includes managers in various departments, chiefs, teachers, office staff, engineers, technicians and workers. Findings obtained as a result of the research are presented in the related tables. As a result and as was expected, a significant negative correlation between workplace mobbing and employee's affective commitment to the organization has been determined.
