Analysis of attitudes towards mobile banking applications using with technology acceptance and theory of planned behavior

Today, it has become possible for many services to be delivered to the users regardless of time and place with the increasing use of smartphones and tablets, the ability to download various applications to these mobile devices, and the easy use of applications. The banking sector has also become aware of this mobility and has begun to offer its services to its customers through mobile applications. Therefore, it is important to examine the behavior of customers using these applications. The purpose of this study is to examine the variables affecting the attitudes and intentions of individuals to use mobile banking applications with an integrated model built on the technology adoption model and the theory of planned behavior. Multi-group path analysis was used to evaluate whether the structural model varied according to the sample group (Turkey and England). The results obtained from multi-group path analysis show that the proposed research model differs in terms of country groups. Explained rate of attitudes towards mobile banking in Turkey compared to the general model of the research sample a bit more, while less than that of the UK sample. While the explained rate of attitudes toward mobile banking in Turkey is a bit more compared to general model of the research, it is less than that England sample. Similarly, while explained rate of the intention to use mobile banking in the general model from the attitude towards mobile banking, the subjective norm, and the perceived behavioral control variables is less than England sample, it is more than Turkey sample.
