Abstract (EN)
The current study was planned and carried out to investigate the preference of consumers on furniture, their purchasing and using behaviours and problems concerning furniture. People's buying goods and services to get their necessities is called consumption. Ali people are in consumers position. Consumers behaviour contain getting information on the procurement and use of goods and services; hovv and why poeple decide to buy or not to buy and their attitude before and after the use of goods. The wooden furniture is an object which facilitates and is used for sitting, eating, studying, sleeping ete. Most of its parts are made of massive, fibre, chip or layer wooden material. They are portable or stable. The purpose of this study is to determine the consumers* preferences and their usage in Artvin. The consumers' furniture preferences can be different from each other depending on affeeting their behaviour. Seven districts in the province of Artvin and the study material has been selected. Face to face public survey method was employed. The number of the consumers participated is 156. The preference and usage of fumiture has been changing according to the men' and vvomen' preferences in family. Firms which produce goods and services are required to adequately determine the behaviour of consumers.
