Abstract (EN)
This research aims to reveal the purposes of fur, especially for clothing, was used throughout the historical process, how some garments for these purposes gained a representative value that enriched the individual beyond functionality, and in what directions it had evolved in parallel with these developments. Thoughts and actions that develop over time; It aims to question the use of fur in some collections of Schiaparelli, one of the leading brands of fashion, within the scope of material and model features. It is significant that analysing the designs of the collections in the research in terms of revealing the realistic appearance and expression of the garments with artificial furs and preparing the ground for the development of creative ideas, innovative products and new design suggestions. The survey model, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research, and documentary scanning that used as a data collection method. The universe of discourse of the research consists of the collections of the Schiaparelli brand and the sampling group consists of the Haute Couture and Ready-to-Wear collections of the Schiaparelli brand, including the Spring-Summer/Autumn-Winter seasons of 2021 and 2024/25. In this context, it is possible to say that the clothing designs of the Schiaparelli brand are not completely free from animal resources, but the furs included in the design of the brand's collections are transformed into wearable products for functional purposes and presented in a classical style and sophisticated appearance, and by including faux furs in the designs, it is possible to say that views that support an avant-garde and artistic form of expression are created in the clothes in an effort to create a narrative about the whole collection.
