Abstract (EN)
While jihad, which is one of the important concepts of Islam, is considered as an existence, survival and defense during the time of our Prophet, in modern times, the concept is being used by the terrorist organizations in order to legitimize their actions. Terrorist organizations, in the name of so-called jihad, carry out murders, slaughter and carry out actions with weapons of mass destruction without undifferentiating the civilian. The change in the conception of jihad, which means fighting in the path of Allah, from the understanding of the period of our prophet to the understanding of today's terrorist organizations is quite striking. Our study focuses on the transformation of the Ikhwan within itself, which is an important step in this process, and the reshaping of the jihad in this transformation process. During this period, which coincided with the 1960s and 1970s, radical organizations emerged from the Ikhwan as a result of the struggle with the Egyptian state, and jihad was radicalized by being re-interpreted in this process of radicalization. In our opinion, the state played a decisive role in this new formation. Therefore, in our study, by putting Egypt at the center, the influence of the state on the radicalisation in the understanding of the concept was examined.
