Abstract (EN)

The wide possibilities provided by modern medicine have gone far beyond human imagination and many new applications have emerged in the medical field, and this effectuated many religious, ethical discussions, and burning issues. The legal and ethical dimensions of medical practices that do arise from modern technology and take place on the human body are constantly being debated. One of those that take these debates on the agenda is modern fatwa institutions. Modern fatwa institutions today are working on several solutions to complex bioethical issues. One of the most important of these fatwa institutions is Majmaʿ al-Fiqhī al-Islāmī al-Duwalī. The medical fatwas of Majmaʿ al-Fiqhī al-Islāmī al-Duwalī that issued in many subjects form the basis of this study, and the medical fatwas given by it have been analyzed in terms of legal, medical, and ethical aspects in the course of the study. In the study, the medical fatwas of the above-mentioned fatwa institution were classified under various titles according to their content. Later, fatwas were assayed from various perspectives, and finally, the method used by Majmaʿ al-Fiqhī al-Islāmī al-Duwalī while issuing fatwas, and legal methods and principles used in the medical fatwas were examined.
