Abstract (EN)

In modern meaning ?Museum is an institution which is in the service of public and itsdevelopment, open to public, researches on the materials giving evidence to people andtheir environment, gathers, saves, shares information and finally displays in the directionof examination, education and enjoying, free from profit mind and has continuity?(www.icom.org, 2005).Today the opinion -regarding the work of arts can not be stowed in classical understandingin world- made obligatory new tendencies in many fields from architecture of museums tomanaging museums. This structural change of museums and giving shape to themselvesagain according to the new conditions pointed out the necessity of a change in managementpolicies of museums as well as in government policies of the countries. Being able to winthe war of staying in changing conditions for identities and values, is related closely withorganizational structure of museums and management policy.This thesis involves the role of museums in converting modern cities to cultural centers.Despite we know this, what do we do? As the public do we show sufficient interest andattention to our historical inheritance?Besides their main functions museums realize social and educational activities to ensurethe integration of public and museums. Even though museums are non-profit and for theuse of public institutions, the role of `finance? in carrying out the functions of museumsshows the necessity of thinking each of them like enterprise.
