Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, heavy metals are commonly used for production process and other secondary process in many industries, because of leaking in surface and underground water and creating potential risk on the living organisms have became an important issue in recent years. Heavy metals display toxic effect as well very low concentration and they have accumulation potential. Removal of heavy metals in contaminant water because of their higher toxicities has an importance for environment. It is necessary to purify and reduce the concentration of heavy metal in contaminant water to allowes rates using the miscellaneous standarts before setting free to the environment. In this study, copper, lead and cadmium metals which are presented in contaminant water and created threat was removed with adsorption that using organosepiolite. Therefore, organosepiolites were prepared that modified by surfactan in rates chosen. The characterization of obtained adsorbents was carried out XRD analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy measurements, TOC analysis, particle size distribution, surface area measurements and TG/DTA analysis. Removal of Pb(II), Cu(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solutions with organosepiolites was occurred in a batch system at room temperature. Effects of factors such as pH, contact time, amount of adsorbent and initial concentration on adsorption were investigated. Suitability of equilibrium adsorption data with Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models was researched and kinetic parameters were calculated with kinetic datas at different concentrations. Key words: Organosepiolite, surfactant, adsorption, removal of heavy metal, kinetic
