Abstract (EN)

The objectives of this study were to detect the lactation milk yield, milk components, somatic cell count (SCC), lipid profiles of Morkaraman (n=41) and Tuj (n=47) sheep reared at the Research and Application Farm of Atatürk University and to investigate effects of some environmental factors as breed, age and pasture on these traits. The effect of breed of sheep didn't effect on any lactation milk yield characteristics while age of sheep was significantly (p<0,05) effect on average daily milk yield and lactation milk yield and highly significant (p<0,01) effect on lactation length. The effect of pasture period on fat percentage was found to be very important (p<0,01), while the effect of age and breed was significant (p<0,05). The average non-fat dry matter was significantly affected by pasture (p<0,01) and breed (p<0,05). It was determined that breed and pasture period had a significant effect on milk protein ratio (p<0,05). The breed of sheep and pasture effected on rate of milk protein (p<0,05). As a result of the statistical analysis, it was determined that the breed and age interactions were only effect on rate of milk fat. The effects of breed, pasture and age were not found significant on SCC. In the study, while the effect of pasture was significant on triacylglycerol, phospholipid, free fatty acid and monoacyglycerol (p<0,05, p<0,01), the effects of the breed and age of sheep were not significant. The amount of cholesterol determined in the milk of the Tuj was significantly higher than that obtained from Morkaraman (p<0,05).
