The effect of the motivation tools on the employee motivation: A study on thermal hotel establishments in Afyonkarahisar

Since tourism sector is a service sectorwhich depends on human, the performance of hotel eshtablishments are based on theperformance of their employee. The performance of employee can be increased withmotivation.In this study, the factors which affect the employee motivation in thermal hoteleshtablishments are examined, and the effect level of the tools of motivation on theemployee motivation in two thermal hotel eshtablishments in Afyonkarahisar are searched.The tools of motivation consist of three groups; psychological, economic andorganizational-managerial tools. The result is that the psychological and organizational-managerial tools are more effective than the economic tools on the motivation of theemployee. Also, whether there are any defference on the motivation of the employeeaccording to their demographical features (age, level of education, mission, gender, maritalstatus, lenght of working, etc.) or not are searched. As a result of this; the older the employeesare, the less effective the organizational-managerial and psychological tools of motivationget, and the more effective the economic tools get. So this study contributes very well to thetourism eshtablishments in Afyonkarahisar, in which tourism is improving quickly, aboutmotivating their employees better.
