Abstract (EN)
“The human” factor plays an important role since the universities, which have public legal personality and scientific autonomy, conduct education and training at a high level, and include institutions and units such as faculties, instutites and colleges, which provide scientific research and publications are included in the service sector category. The administrative staff, who are in various units of the university and constitute the backbone of the institution, do their jobs fondly and their belonging to their institutions will largely determine the performance of the enterprise. Therefore, universities, who want to gain competitive advantage both at national and international level, have to give importance to the work motivations and loyalty of the administrative staff to the institution as well as their academic staff. The concepts of work motivation and organizational belonging are two of the subjects that have been researched from time to time in the literature. According to the researches in this context, both work motivation and organizational belonging are two concepts that are integrated with each other and both affect each other. In this respect, it is important for the managers to focus on business motivation and organizational belonging, to determine the expectations of the personnel in accordance with the hypothesis suggested by the studies in the literature, to develop the perpective of motivation and management in accordance with the requirements of the company and to achieve success of the enterprise. In this study, it is aimed to determine the relationship between job motivation and organizational belonging of the administrative staff of Batman University and to determine whether there are statistically significant differences between job motivation and organizational belonging according to the socio-demographic characteristics of the employees. The data of the study; “Motivation Scale” is for job motivation and “Organizational Belonging Scale” is for organizational belonging were collected through a questionnaire which is one of the quantitative research methods. The data in 162 questionnaire forms obtained from administrative staff of Batman University were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 program. The relationship between job motivation and organizational belonging was analyzed with Pearson Correlation Technique. In order to determine the relationships between work motivation and organizational belonging sub-dimensions, regression models were developed. According to the findings of the study, a significant relationship was found between job motivation and organizational belonging.
