Investigation of the intermediation effect of motivation between social capital and work satisfaction: An application in Batman University

Human is a social entity. Just as the interactions it experiences in daily life can be effective and effective on the person, these interactions can be more productive in the business life together with the satisfaction of the social motivation they have. Communities' interaction and communication with each other, acting in an organized way, mutual trust in each other, make people take more conscious steps and are satisfied with the work they do. The aim of this study is to investigate the mediation effect between motivation, social capital and job satisfaction through research on Batman University employees. In addition, sociological foundations of social capital, historical process, positive negative effects, definition of job satisfaction and motivation processes will be discussed. Therefore, 286 academic and administrative personnel were surveyed. The first part of the study questionnaire consists of personal information, the second part consists of the Motivation scale consisting of 29 questions, the third part consists of the Minnesota Job Satisfaction scale consisting of 20 questions, and the last part of the questionnaire consists of the Social Capital scale consisting of 8 questions. As a result of the analyzes, it has been found that social capital has an inter-variable effect between motivation and job satisfaction and job satisfaction between motivation and social capital. In addition, it was found that motivation, job satisfaction and social capital differ from demographic factors according to age, marital status, education level, duration of service and service class.
