Abstract (EN)

This research was carried out to determine by using NIR instrument to calibrate the starch values of 320 (three hundred and twenty) corn samples taken from TMO offices in seven different geographical regions of Turkey. The corn samples used in the research were selected from the regions where corn production was intensived in Turkey and brought to the laboratory. The corn samples brought to the laboratory were milled and then spectra were formed. Afterwards, starch values were found in the laboratory using wet chemical analysis methods. The calibration set generated is R= 0.6410; R2 = 0.4109 Standard Deviation = 4.4208, R = 0.5854 from the validation set; R2 = 0.3427 Standard Deviation = 4.5662 values were obtained. In the study, Calibration interval is 44.53, Validation interval is 45.72. Respectively. As a result, this research has shown that using FT-NIR device with starch contents in corn which can represent 7 different regions of Turkey requires more samples to be worked on in order to give scientifically more reliable results.
