The topic of the thesis is the historical trade structure of Mudurnu, which is located in the Mudurnu district of Bolu province. The aim of, this study is to document this structure and to create proposals of protection and rehabilitation in order to transfer it to the future generations. The study consists of six chapters including the introduetion and conclusion. In the introduction the topic is presented, in the second chapter the general analysis of Mudurnu, in the third chapter the environmental characteristics, in the fourth chapter the traditional trade structure of Mudurnu is analyzed. In the fifth chapter the decisions are mad for the protection and development which include the proposals of physical intervention which are necessary in order to maintain the trade structure of Mudurnu by syn the sizing all of these acquired informations. In conclusion chapter taking an example of the study is emphasized in order to protect and maintain the similiar areas with their orginal conditions in Mudurnu and Turkey. The aim of this study is to determine and to document the protection problems of Mudurnu district which didn't reach the desired reputation in our country although it is in the Cittaslow list and also Unesco Temperory Heritage List ant to develop different proposals by evaluating the problems which are found as a result of these studies.
