Abstract (EN)
As in every field, in the accounting field, the increase in the usage of computers that are the inevitable elements of the information era causes accounting processes and entries to be done computer aided. The accounting packet programs that are developed for this reason take on a significant duty to present the information demanded by the user in the demanded time and quality. In the scope of the study, the aim is to show the differences by comparing the accounting packet programs used in the independent accounting financial advisor offices and the departments of accounting and finance of the companies in terms of technical features of preliminary accounting and general accounting. The aim is also to reach the information of which programs are preferred most in terms of companies' field of activity and which accounting packet programs are preferred most by accounting professionals. Face to face survey was used in data gathering of the research. SPSS 22.0 program was used in data analysis. In the study, frequency analysis, chi-square analysis and one-way variance analysis were used and the result is that there are significant differences in terms of financial accounting features when choosing the accounting programs to be used. However; there are not any significant differences in terms of technical and preliminary accounting features. The most preferred program by the accounting professionals is LOGO. In production companies in terms of field of activity, the program is SAP. In trade and service companies, it is the LOGO program and in independent accounting and financial advisor offices, it is the LUCA program.
