The legal liability of drawee based on the Cheque Law

The issue of the legal liability of drawee in the cheque with the effect of the high solvency of the drawee who must always be a bank, has always been a topic of discussion. Within the scope of our thesis, only the legal liability of the drawee arising from the violation of the obligations stipulated in the Cheque Law is discussed. In this way, cases of legal liability that do not arise from the violation of the obligations stipulated in the Cheque Law is excluded from the study, as well as criminal liability. Our thesis consists of three chapters. In the first chapter, drawee bank and its relationship with those for whom it is responsible is examined; in the second chapter, cases of legal liability of the drawee at the stage of establishing the cheque contract is discussed. In the third and the last chapter, cases of legal liability of the drawee bank at the stage of payment of the cheque amount are focused on.
