Abstract (EN)
Bukhara has been one of the notable cities of Central Asia and a significant center in world history. Becoming a focal point for various societies in both pre-Islamic and post-Islamic periods, Bukhara has historically been an attraction due to its location on the Silk Road. Additionally, the city has made a name for itself throughout history with the personalities it has housed. Ahmed b. Mahmud, a researcher, scholar, mystic, and member of a noble family, provided information about the burial places of these personalities, where they are buried, and the customs of visiting their tombs through his work titled Tarikh-e Mollazadeh dar Zikr-e Mazarat-e Bukhara. Written in Persian in the first quarter of the 15th century and consisting of two parts, this work provides information about important figures in Turkish history while also enabling an understanding of Turkish rule, which constitutes an important part of Bukhara's history. In particular, previously unexplained or unverified events and dates in previous studies can be addressed through such source translations. The lack of a translation of this work in Turkey has been seen as a deficiency by us, and the necessity of its inclusion in Turkish historical literature has been recognized. Therefore, this translated work aims to elucidate its importance in terms of Bukhara and Turkish history.
