Özet (EN)

In children's literature, the tale genre has always been among the important subjects of study. It is the first genre in which children distinguish between the concepts of good and bad. Tale book writers prepare children for real life by making them feel the importance of being a good person in every tale that ends with a happy ending. Münir Hayri Egeli wrote works in the tale genre from 1947 to 1970 and compiled some of these tales from Anatolia and put them in writing. The purpose of this research is to examine the tale genre works written by Münir Hayri Egeli in terms of their content characteristics and to reveal the importance of the examined works in terms of Turkish children's literature. In this context, Münir Hayri Egeli's tales were subjected to document review, one of the qualitative research methods. Content analysis was conducted on the specified tales using the scanning model. The research consists of three parts. In the first part, the life, literary personality and works of Münir Hayri Egeli are introduced. In the second part, the theoretical framework is presented. In the third part, the findings determined in terms of content features in the examined tales are presented and the evaluation of these findings in terms of children's literature is included. The determined content features are classified under the titles of event flow, characters, rhymes, language and narration, educational features, motif features, values education and social skills education. Each work is examined one by one in terms of determined content features and the determined findings are presented with examples.
