The rapid increase in the world population causes the demand for water to increase day by day. This increasing demand, coupled with the fact that water resources are fixed, makes the need for alternative solutions to prevent water shortage even more evident. For this reason, the use of technologies for alternative water resources to alleviate water shortage is becoming increasingly widespread today. In this context, it is of great importance to optimise water use and adopt sustainable practices in large areas such as the Munzur University campus. As a result of unplanned growth in urban areas, the increase in impervious surfaces causes serious stormwater-related problems. With the increase in the amount of stormwater runoff on the surface, problems such as shortening the runoff time of stormwater from the surface and becoming more vulnerable to floods and floods in urban areas arise. In addition, this situation brings with it environmental impacts such as decreasing groundwater levels and deterioration of the quality of surface waters. In this case, it becomes difficult to balance between the pollution of the receiving environment on the one hand and the problems experienced in providing clean drinking and potable water on the other. However, environmental practices such as the use of rainwater collected from building roofs for purposes such as irrigation can restore this balance by contributing to the sustainable management of water resources. The use of rainwater collected from the roof area in indoor reservoirs or for landscape irrigation can also save on the use of clean municipal water. Such solutions can improve the water management of urban areas by minimising environmental impacts while promoting the effective and efficient use of water. To combat these problems, it is now a necessity to establish holistic strategies for recycling and reusing rainwater. Within the scope of this thesis, the required storage volume, the amount of rainwater to be collected from the roofs, the amount of rainwater to be collected from the roofs, the amount of water to be used in the reservoirs inside the buildings and the amount of water to be consumed in environmental irrigation have been calculated in order to enable the reuse of rainwater to be collected in the roof areas of the buildings on the Munzur University Campus. These calculations were made on the based on regions in Munzur University Campus, and the rainwater tank required for each region was selected with the capacity to store as much water as the reservoir and environmental irrigation water needs of the region where it is located. As a result of the project design for the university campus, which is divided into 13 regions in total, it was calculated and determined how much of the rainwater collected and stored from the roof areas meets the water demand of the region where it is located.
