An application for the exploitation of graphic design products for the promotion of the museum (Example of İnegöl City Museum)

In this research, it was aimed to determine how to make promotions by using the graphic design products of the museums that collect and exhibit culture products in universal dimension as much as it is local and to carry out original application studies for the presentation of İnegöl City Museum by the researcher according to these obtained results. This thesis titled "Utilization of Graphic Design Products in Museum Presentation (İnegöl City Museum Example)" consists of three main sections. At the beginning, introduction, problem, aim of research, importance, limitations and other research related to the subject. The stages of graphic design and items are presented in the first chapter. In the second section, which explains the basic elements of designing museum graphics, there are also elements that need to be noted. The second part of the thesis focuses on explanatory information for the designers who intend to design the museum graphics, since the elements described are sometimes limited or sometimes a source of freedom from the graphic designer's point of view. On the other side, in the second part, the concept of museum is explained and information about museum types and city museums is given. In addition, graphic design applications used in the promotion of museums are mentioned. In the third section, which is the main aim of the thesis, graphic design applications such as brochures, catalogs, posters, playing cards and mascots prepared for the İnegöl City Museum were given.
