Infographic design in museum and proposal of Kütahya Tile Museum application

"Information graphic design", one of the visual communication tools, is a fundamental area in which graphic language and visual communication are used to describe. Facilitating life in social spaces as well as in many subjects, making time efficient and preventing confusion are among the primary tasks of the information graphic. Information graphics focus on the problem in which raw information can be transferred to human beings better and in ways that are necessary to enable people to perceive their environment more effectively. For example, traffic signs, Metro/bus route charts, form/document designs, maps, training documents are included in the scope of the information design. At this point, it is very important to bring solutions to communication problems through visual language and to increase perception level in educational processes. In the thesis study titled "Information Graphic Design in museums and Kütahya Tile Museum application proposal", it was aimed to discuss how the visual representation of these data in the formal transfer can contribute to the communication and learning processes by taking into consideration the information purpose at the core of the graphic design. In the first part of the study, the definition of communication, its historical location and the changes that visual communication has undergone until today are mentioned. In the second part, the related topics under the heading of information graphics have been examined in detail and the information graphic has been positioned according to other design disciplines and the common and differentiated points have been mentioned. In the third part of the survey, literature survey on the term of museum and museology was conducted and the concepts of museum and museology were discussed. Within the framework of the data obtained from these surveys, the main data that will be an example of our work called "Kütahya Tile Museum application proposal" was determined and interpreted in detail. This thesis, which is a separate discipline in Visual Communication Design Methods, is designed in the field of information graphics, we think that this thesis may be a work of resource quality for designers and researchers who carry out application studies related to the field.
